ZERTER, MARGARETHE
After a struggle with illness on Monday July 18, 2011, Margaret Zerter (nee Ohters). Beloved wife of the late Wilhelm Zerter. Her memory will be cherished by her children: Barbara of Ottawa; Liese (Paul Fearman) of Tasmania; Bill (Louise) of New Jersey; Stephan (Mary) of Montreal and Christoph (Jocelyne) of Coteau du Lac. Proud and cherished Oma of Andrew (Jo), Oliver, Erika, Liam, Mathieu, Stephanie, Nikolas, Josef and Lewis. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews in Canada, Germany, Lithuania and Australia. Margaret was a teacher at Francesca Cabrini School in Montreal and St. Paul’s School in Beaconsfield. Following her retirement in Vankleek Hill she was a substitute teacher for Special-Ed at P.C.P.S and she was also an active volunteer with the Red Cross, Horticultural Society, Nature Society, Women’s Institute, Meals on Wheels and St. Jude’s Catholic Church and a member of the Alteheimat Group.
Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Tuesday July 26h, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Church, 14 Mill Street on Saturday October 1,2011 at 11 a.m. Followed by a reception in the church hall. Donations in memory of Margaret to the Vankleek Hill Horticultural Society P.O. Box 966 ,Vankleek Hill, Ontario K0B 1R0, CHEO Foundation 415 Smyth Road , Ottawa, Ontario K1H 8M8 or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
