Condoléances
Howie, Heidi and Jane, we were so saddened to read of Aunt Ruth's passing in March. Aunt Ruth's warmth, kindness and humour will always be cherished and remembered by my family. Our thoughts are with all of you. Graham and Alecia
I was saddened to learn of the passing of my former neighbour and friend for the past 16 years. Your mother was a caring and kind person. When I spoke with her mid March she was telling me that she had a nice day in Ottawa shopping for a gift for her granddaughter shower. We had a nice chat as alway. To all of you my sincere condolences to you for your loss. May special memories be a source of comfort at this time. You are in my thoughts. Warren
Dear Howie, Heidi, and Jane, We are so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a great lady and we have lots of good memories of her and your family. Traci, Andrew, and Louise
Ruth graduated from the Vic in 1962. As a student I knew her but not well as I was the class of 1963. When I graduated I worked on the Urology floor at the Vic and Ruth was my first Head Nurse. She was terrifc to work with and for. In later years I always compared my head nurses to her, quite a standard to meet. I left the Vic a year later and shortly there after moved to Moncton NB. Much to my surprise a few years later there was an announcement in our paper that Andy Lightle was the new guidance councellor at Moncton High. I took a chance and called the house as I figured there weren't too many Andy Lightles in this world. I was roght and we visited a bit until our childrens activities took us in different directions. I have never forgotten Ruth and often wondered how she was, and now I know. RIP Ruth, you were a special lady.
I was so saddened to hear about Ruth's passing. Ruth and Andy were both so special to me were a huge part of my childhood. So many small moments with them have become my strongest memories over time: I will always remember playing cards, making pies, and visiting with Ruth when I was little. I remember her an Andy coming across the street to our house in the summer and how she always used to bring along some Southern Comfort...I remember picking may flowers with Andy by a train track and Ruth helping me arrange them afterward. I will never forget how good the cinnamon rolls that Ruth made were. One of my favourite memories is when Howie took us all to St. Martins and we had a picnic and went swimming in the Big Salmon River. I have a picture of us all in the water that I tacked to the wall of my dorm room when I was in university. No matter what the weather is like I always swim in the same spot when I am visiting the Fundy Trail. Ruth and Andy always talked about Cape Breton and when I got to go there for the first time last summer I was thinking about them both the entire time... We actually brought Andy’s old canoe with us all the way around the Cabot Trail. I hope they both knew how much I loved them and that I will never, ever forget them. I am so sorry for your loss...My thoughts are with your family.
I met Ruth and Andy through Lou, my sister-in-law, they were both lovely people. They will be missed but not forgotten. My sincere condolences to you and your families.
Just heard of Ruth's passing and want to send sincere sympathy to all the family. I have fond memories of Andy and Ruth visiting us in Rawdon and also having visited them in Moncton. It was always a special time when the Lightle relatives came to visit us in Rawdon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Howie, Heidi and Jane Tony and I would like to offer our condolences on the passing of your Mother. Although it's been many years since we've seen her, we have many fond memories of our days at the Lewisville Arena attending Howie's hockey games with Gary. I'm sure she will be greatly missed.
