HIGGINSON, John Fraser June 25,1918-November 11,2011 W.W.II Army Veteran Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Friday November 11, 2011 John Fraser Higginson of Hawkesbury at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Mary Rowbotham. Loving father of Catherine Barr (Gary) of Vancouver, BC, Eleanor Sides (Ben), the late Tom (Margaret) all of Hawkesbury, Ian (Jean Kerr) of Vankleek Hill, Jim (Ruth) of Kanata and the late Janet Higginson. Special Poppa of Chris (Atsuko), Owen, Ryan (Andrea), James (Shelly), Brien (Jennifer), Colin (Sharon), Alasdair (Erin), Andrew (Vanessa), Matthew (Suzanne), Carolyn, Meaghan, Alan (Sylvia), Michael (Jaclyn) and his great-grandchildren Austin, Lauren, Liam, Hannah, Kimberely, Catherine, Laura, Aiden, Callum and Julia. Dear brother of Marion McDonald of Vankleek Hill. Predeceased by his sister Mary and his brother Thomas. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Sunday November 13, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday November 14, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 440 Stanley Street Hawkesbury, Ontario followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Hawkesbury, Ontario.
