Carkner, Mary On Tuesday July 2,2013 at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer Mary Carkner (nee Vogan) passed away at the age of 76. Daughter of the late Wellesley Vogan and Mary "Birdie" Crooks. Predeceased by her husband Stanley Carkner. Sadly missed by her daughters Patty Fox and Suzie Carkner - Schaerer (August), her grandchildren Michael and Megan Fox and her sister Carole Bond (Don). Fondly remembered by the Carkner and Vogan families. Mary was a dedicated and devoted teacher at schools in the Ottawa and Vankleek Hill area. She retired from Pleasant Corners Public School in 1995.At Mary's request a Private Family Service will be held.
