Howes, Lillian It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lillian Howes (nee MacKinnon) of Dalkeith at the age of 72, surrounded by her loving family at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Wednesday March 28, 2012. Loving and devoted wife for 51 years to Murray Howes. Proud and caring mother of Doug (Michelle Chausse), Gordon (Ruth), Kathy (Dan Ryan) and Lorna. Extraordinary grandmother of Kyle, Ryan, Brad, Maggie, Cameron, Emily, Robyn, Derek and Malcolm. Joined in Heaven with her grandson Kirk.Beloved daughter of the late Douglas and Margaret MacKinnon. Much loved daughter-in-law of Lloyd (late Edith) Howes. Dearly loved sister of Allen MacKinnon (Bonnie) and Lloyd MacKinnon (Lois). Special aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Lillian will be greatly missed by the entire Howes family. Relatives and friends paid their respects at the Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Sunday April 1,2012 from 1 p.m to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday April 2,2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at St. Columba Presbyterian Church, Laggan Glen Elg Road, Kirk Hill,Ontario. Interment McLaughlin Cemetery, Vankleek Hill, Ontario.
