Howes, Lloyd Simon Peacefully at the Maxville Manor on Sunday May 17,2015 Lloyd Howes of Dalkeith passed away at the age of 104. Lloyd was born in Caledonia Township on January 22,1911 and he was the son of the late Robert J. Howes and the late Annie Renwick. Predeceased by his beloved wife Edith Barton. Loving and proud father of his 7 sons and 4 daughters: Shirley (Stella), Carmin (Doreen), Murray (the late Lillian), Lois Mealey, Ray (Linda), Garry, Donna (Wayne McMillan), Lyle (Barb), Harold (Kathy) and Connie (Ken Davidson). Predeceased by his daughter Dorothy (David Read). His family meant the world to him and he is particularly proud of his 26 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Anna Mae Barton. Predeceased by his brothers Shirley and Colin and his sisters Frances Barton, Florence Anderson and Helena Bradley. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may visit at Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill on Sunday May 24, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Monday May 25 from 12 noon to 1:30 pm followed by a Funeral Service to celebrate Lloyd’s wonderful life at St. John’s Anglican Church 5845 Hwy 34, Vankleek Hill at 2 pm.
