Dear cousin Claudia, 40 summers ago I was 13 and you welcomed me into your family for a summer I will always remember. Your laughter and philosophical take on life made such an impression on me that you were an example for me to follow. True, since then, we have not seen each other often, but you were always in my heart. Rest in peace and may God give strength to all those who will miss you dearly.

Jean, I'm so sorry for your loss, and ours. I am grateful, however, for having been welcomed in to your home, and to have had the opportunities to listen to Claudia's stories of family & friends - of life in Montreal, on the West Island, and, of course, on the farm. I greatly appreciate all of the confidence & support that Claudia showed me in my own life's challenges, as well as the encouragement that I received from her.
