I met Oona when she came to work at Pascals Furniture in Cote Vertu. We became instant friends.. Oona is the one who introduced me to Country Music which is the only thing I now listen to,,We went out to country bars dancing and having a good time.. We both had little boys, then she had Marinda and I a year or so later had Trevor.. Oona and the Kids spent many good times with my husband and I and our kids,, they all got along very well...I later got her to come to work with me at Kiddie Kobbler kids shoe store in Dorval.... she drifted away from my life and moved away and I had't seen her for years till I bumped into her one day and she showed me a picture of her first grand daughter. then I never saw her again..over the years I had hoped that she might pop up on facebook but she never did.. I hoped that she might show up at a county fair in Ontario where we were selling our western wear.. but she never did,, then 2 years ago who showed up at the VanKleek hill fair but her beautiful daughter Marinda.... what a blessing.. unfortunatley by this time Oona was not in good health and to my dismay did not wish see people.. I am very sad to hear of her passing and especially the fact that I did not get to see her, but that was her wishes.. I have thought of her many many times over the years and all the fun we had together and will never forger that part of my life.. So to her family I send you our condolences and may Oona now rest in Peace without pain and suffering,, My sons Tim and Trevor feel very sad..
