Barton, Garfield M. Suddenly at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Wednesday May 11,2016 Garfield Barton of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents Stanley Barton and Dorothy Barton Pollard (née Johnston). Beloved husband of 47 years to Nan (née Blair). Proud and loving father of his 4 daughters; Sandra Pasco (Tom), Heather Barton (Andrew), Nancy Wein (Jason) and Connie Miller (Matt). Special Grandpa of Kate, Emma, Ella, Thomas, Justin, Derek, Andrew, Cameron, Kelly, Julie, Adam, Marcus, James, Ryan and Eric. Dear brother of June Johnston (Arden) and Wendy Sproule (Kerry Mullin) and his brother-in-law Grant Fletcher. Predeceased by his sisters Linda Waugh and Donna Fletcher. Fond nephew of Vera Runions. He will be sadly missed by his extended families the Brodie’s, Kinnear’s and Pollard’s. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Garfield will always be remembered for his wonderful love and passion for farming and all his animals. Relatives and friends may visit at Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Sunday May 15, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday May 16,2016 at 11 am at St. John’s Anglican Church 5845 Church Street, Vankleek Hill. Interment Fenaghvale Cemetery, Vankleek Hill.
