Nécrologie de William Golding

Peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Thursday, July 25, 2024 William Golding of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Heather Golding (née McRae) and son of the late William and Cora Golding. Dear brother of the late Phyllis (late Ron Billingsley), Wilma (Gerry Paquette), and Lorna (Willis Silverson). He is also survived by his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

William was a man of diverse talents and passions. He began playing the fiddle in his teens, later transitioning to acoustic guitar in his 50s. He cherished square dancing and socializing with his wife and friends, and found great joy in camping with his fifth wheel.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2 pm  at the Cassburn Cemetery, 1780 Cassburn Road, L'Orignal, Ontario

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hawkesbury General Hospital for their exceptional care and service.

For those wishing,  a donation in memory of William to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be apprecaited.. 

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill as a loving tribute to William.
