Nécrologie de Rosmarie Schachtler

Rosmarie Schachtler, born in Switzerland and immigrated to Canada on April 14th 1975,  passed away on December 16th, 2023, in Hawkesbury, Ontario at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband Hans Schachtler, her son Ueli and her three brothers Walter (Susanne), Hans (the late Klara), Christian (Margrit).

Rosmarie will be remembered as a loving mother to her children, Anna, Fritz, Margrit and Walter. She was also a special Grandmother to Itza, Devaki, Moises, Anika and Lucas. Her gift of cooking and her passion for gardening, weeding, cleaning and biking around the farm were all things she will enjoy. She will always be remembered for her honesty, kindness, and generosity and she will be deeply missed. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club, 136 Bond St, Vankleek Hill, on Sunday, April 14th from 11 am to 2 pm. A private inurnment has taken place in Greenwood Cemetery, Vankleek Hill.

A Tree of Remembrance for Rosmarie will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest, Vankleek Hill.
