Nécrologie de Freda Eileen Howes

Peacefully at home, with her family by her side on Saturday, March 25, 2023, Freda Eileen Howes (née Mace) of Vankleek Hill, passed away at the age of 94.

Freda was the daughter of the late George Mace and Annie (nee Sproule). Loving wife of the late Howard Howes. Cherished mother to Leonard (Beverley), Lois (late Lloyd) Ken, Willa (Mike), Lyman (Monique), Hunter (Marsha) and Norman (Melissa). Predeceased by her son Joseph. Freda was the loving grandmother to Mark, Marlene (Jason), Tiffany, Randy (Tanika), Holly (Bob), Amy (Marcus), Kenny (Allison), Kimberley, Amanda (Mathieu), Adam (Megan), Julie. Predeceased by her sweet granddaughter Jennifer. She also leaves to mourn the apple of her eyes, nineteen great-grandchildren.

A special thank you to all the PSW’s for all the care and compassion they gave to mom. To the wonderful nurses, especially Mark, who has been with mom for a few years, for his kindness. You will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends may visit at the Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 1 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.

A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Hillcrest Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may gather at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club 136 Bond Street for a Celebration of Freda's Life on Thursday March 30,2023 from 12 noon to 4 pm. Spring Interment Fenaghvale Cemetery.

In memory of Freda, a donation to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
