Nécrologie de Helga Wieferig

Peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, Helga Wieferig passed away at the Hawkesbury General Hospital at the age of 87. She was the loving wife of the late Karl Wieferig. She will be deeply missed by her children, Bernd, Robert, Debbie, and Heidi. She was the cherished grandmother of Shawn, Steven, Jonathan, Rose and Kelly and great-grandmother of, Luca, Gemma, and Chloe. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Inge, Rosemarie, Giséla and Doris. Predeceased by her sister Waltraud and her brother Karl-Heinz. Fondly remembered by her family in Canada, USA and Germany.

Helga was very people oriented and super social.  She enjoyed her husband Karl’s flowers, especially his geraniums, spring tulips, daffodils, and the climbing roses he put in for her at their home in L’Orignal. She was known to welcome family and friends into their home for a wonderful German supper followed by her irresistible desserts.  She was a strong and independent woman with a giving heart.  Often making deliveries with Karl of care packages to neighbours, friends both at home and even to the hospital.  Her spirit and smile will be so missed.

A Private Family Celebration of Helga’s Life will be held at a future date.

In memory of Helga, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
