Thriepland, Barbara Ann (née Connery)

October 19, 1931-March 9, 2023

Peacefully at home surrounded by family.  Greatly loved by all who knew her, she was an inspiration of faith, love and charity, and was a constant gentle and loving presence in her family’s lives. 

Barbara was the loving wife of the late Ralph Thriepland. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind: daughters Donna (Eddie Sarraf), Karen (Jean-Guy Lemieux) and Lisa (Richard Jennings), and son John, her well-loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she was Grandy always; her brother Gerald (the late Marjory), family members and friends, including long time best friend Betty Scott, the church family at the Grace Anglican Church, Arundel, QC and the Knox Presbyterian Church family in Vankleek Hill. She is predeceased by her brother Charles(the late Ruth).

Our special thanks to Dr. Rossbach, Home Care Coordinator Deana Conway-Hinton, Home Care Nurse Claudia Kingsbury and wonderful PSWs Monica Welburn and Liliana Cortes for their loving care of Barb during her final days at home.  Thanks to the hospital staff at HGH for the excellent care received in December. 

A Service of Celebration will be held on Thursday, March 23^rd. 2023 at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 29 High Street, Vankleek Hill at 11 am. The family will welcome visitors from 10 am to 11 am in the church sanctuary. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision, The Salvation Army or The Hawkesbury & District General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
