Peacefully on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 9,2022 at the Maxville Manor Sydney Hay passed away at the age of 93. Predeceased by his parents, James Hay and Mary Bell (nee MacLeod). Beloved husband of the late Wanda Patterson. Loving father of Ian (Kathleen) and Gordon (Carol). Dearly loved Grandpa of Ryan (Lindsay), Matthew, Lauren, David and John. Dear great- grandfather of Winston, Abigail and Edward. Predeceased by his sisters Ruby Hay and Carol Scharfe and his brother Mansel. Fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Ken Scharfe and his nieces Sharon Scharfe and Rosemary Kane.The family would like to thank the Staff of the Heritage Lodge and the Maxville Manor for their wonderful care and compassion.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the Breadalbane Baptist Church Hall followed by a Celebration of Sydney's Life at 11 am in the church. Interment Breadalbane Cemetery.
