My deepest sympathy. I was lucky to know Neil he drove to work with our carpool for a while when he lived in Southampton.

I first met Neil around the bridge table at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club. He was an interesting man and a faithful bridge player. On behalf of all those who enjoyed his company on Thursday afternoons I extend my sincere sympathy to his loved ones.

My earliest memory of Neil was on a lovely summer day at some church function down east. Neil came towards us, striding across the grounds, in his military uniform. An elderly gentleman remarked, “There’s a fine-looking young man … walking so tall and smart… don’t see many of those anymore.” He was talking to Rev. Jim, Neil’s father, who beamed with pride in his son.

Neil lived his life with joy, kindness and a spirit for adventure, all overlaid by his love for his family. An immensely clever and creative man, he will be sorely missed.
