Dandy, Debra "Debbie"
(nee Barton)
It is with sad hearts that we announce on Thursday, February 24,2022, Debbie Dandy passed away at the age of 65 at her home in Navan with her family by her side after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Elliott Barton and Velma MacCaskill. A loving wife and best friend of Wayne Dandy. Debbie was a proud and caring mom of Shawn (Charline) and Kimberley Baldwin (David). Cherished and fun-loving Grandma of Brayden, Declan, Cara, and Max. Dearly loved sister of Evelyn Bernique (Gerard), Luella Stephens (Tom) and Darlene Bates (Lloyd). She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Debbie loved outdoor activities year-round. In the summer you would find her on the golf course or camping. When winter arrived, it was a chance to spend time on her snowmobile with family and friends where great memories were made. Indoors, you’d find her baking sweets, playing a good game of cards or watching sports, especially the Ottawa Senators.
Debbie was a dedicated employee of 38 years at the Bank of Canada. She was a committed treasurer for many volunteer positions, and as in life, balanced everything to the penny.
Debbie would say, her most favourite and special time of all would be when she spent time with her grandchildren.
