Nécrologie de Sylvain Poirier

Peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Wednesday, August 24, 2021 Sylvain Poirier of L’Orignal, Ontario and formerly from Blainville, Quebec and Rosemere, Quebec, passed away at the age of 59 after a long battle with cancer. His parents Victor Poirier and Gizelle/Gisele Sarrazin are predeceased. He leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Linda Chevalier and his three sons Jason (Anna Markouchina), Shawn (Vivianne Mayer) and Colton (Kathleen Speedie).  He was the cherished grandfather of Viktoria, Elizabeth, Luka, Chelsie and Ethan. He will also be missed by his mother-in-law Dorothy/Doris Steen (late Yvon Chevalier), his brother-in-law Alain Chevalier (Andree Benoit), his nephew Sebastien Chevalier (Marilene Boucher), great nephew Nolan Chevalier, great niece Emma Chevalier, his sister-in-law Dianne Rees Dinnage, niece Pamela Dinnage (Matthew Beedle) and great nephew Teddy Beedle. Sylvain spent his entire career working for the Quebec Government as an Industrial Hygiene Technician.  He spent many moments of his life giving to others, and was also known for volunteering in sports, school events and local town events. He leaves this life with no regrets. A thank you is wished to the Ottawa General Hospital,  Hawkesbury General Hospital, St-Elizabeth Homecare and Bayshore Homecare for their wonderful care.

As per Sylvain's request, there will be no visitation or service.
