Dear Karla and family, our sincere condolences to you. We have many fond memories of Bert as a teenager as he would come to swim at our place with his friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of grieving.

We were saddened to hear of Bert's passing. "Little Bert", as we used to call him, spent most of his teenage years at our farm. He would help Carl with chores and the hay season. He built a rocking horse for Amy, our first daughter, and he created a beautiful painting of our farm. Reading the comments from his friends on Facebook, I can assure you that as a teenager he already had these beautiful traits of character.
