Matscheg, Friederike "Fritzi"

June 18, 1949- January 4, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Friederike Matscheg on Monday, January 4, 2021 (born in Wiener Neustadt, Austria).   

Beloved daughter of the late parents Olga Hofmann and Reinhard Schreer. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Alexander Matscheg whom she was married to for 49 years and daughter Barbara Matscheg (Hermann Buhler). She is predeceased by her oldest sister Christine Hanusch in Austria. She had many fond memories of her beloved home at her parents estate in Moeltern, Austria, and spent much time riding her horse  (Maxl) and her heart remained there until her passing. A song was written and recorded by her daughter Barbara in 1991-92   (co-producer Wayne Prue) called 'Leaf in the Wind' and was dedicated to her mom Friederike to summarize her life. 

You have brought so much love and happiness to us, and we are grateful, and cherish, to have had the time with you on this physical plane;

Our love is deeper than the deepest seas, and you will be missed more than any words can ever express.;

May you fly into the heavens with love surrounding you, embraced by the universe, going back to your spirit home; until we meet again. 

There will be no funeral service. Cremation will be held , January 12, 2021
