Peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 with his family by his side, Dwight passed away at the age of 68. Predeceased by his parents Will and Ruby (Reid) Proudfoot. Devoted partner to Sylvie. Proud and loving father to Meaghan (William Lyons) and Rachel. Stepfather to Mitch. Cherished brother to Hugh (Elizabeth), Ian (Ruth) and Bonnie (Claude). Dearly loved cousin and life-long fishing buddy to Phip. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

 

Dwight was a well-respected member of the community who will be fondly remembered by his many relatives and friends. He enjoyed regular trips to Wabatongushi Lake with his fishing buddies and travelling the world with Sylvie. Dwight was an advocate for society's most vulnerable and served as a founding board member of the Valoris Foundation of Prescott-Russell from 1980 to 2020.

 

At Dwight’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place at a later date.

 

In memory of Dwight a donation to the Fenaghvale Cemetery 6070 County Road 10, Fournier, Ontario K0B 1G0 would be appreciated by the family.
