Each time I look at Dad's picture I remember different things that I miss. One being that he used to whistle. Beautiful strong perfect pitch tunes with no obvious stop for breath. Some of his favorites were "Yellow Bird", " Blueberry Hill" "Goin Back to Wher I Come From" and many more. Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Marty Robbins and El Paso.

I used to enjoy going for walks with him when we were camping or helping him work on something at home because he would whistle. He also had a nice voice and used to sing when the family was on a trip or a long drive. We had our own on board entertainment.

It makes me cry to think I will never hear them again or pick his brain for information on my car when it breaks down.

People who are that smart should write a book.
