David Grant

Nécrologie de David Grant

GRANT, David Joseph of Hawkesbury, Ontario passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the age of 44. He was the devoted husband of Jackie Grant (née Redmond); proud father of four beautiful children, Hunter, Dylan, Grace and Logan; beloved son of Anne McKechnie and Michel Billo; and dear brother of Steve Grant, and will be dearly missed and warmly remembered with love and laughter by them all. He is also survived by his in-laws John Redmond (Louise); Johanne Morissette; Robin (Pascal); and Richard (Brenna); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A family man through-and-through, Dave was eager to lend a hand to everyone he came into contact with—stranger or friend. He adored babies and was known for his special ability to sooth them, and as such was nicknamed “the Baby Whisperer.” His kind and generous spirit, his great sense of humour, his warm hugs and his contagious smile will be greatly missed by his many friends from his days working at the Willows Inn, Ivaco Rolling Mills and Royal Canadian Mint.

Family and friends are invited for an uplifting Celebration of Life gathering at the Chute-à-Blondeau Community Centre 2005 Principale St, Chute-à-Blondeau, Ontario on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In honour of the Baby Whisperer, in memoriam donations to Make-a-Wish Eastern Ontario 92 Bentley Avenue, Unit 4, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6T9 would be appreciated.
