Helena and I are sad to hear the news of your mother's passing. We would like to express our condolences.
Moreen was a dear friend and wonderful neighbour in Wakefield. She will forever be in our hearts. To Evan, Blair and Dawn please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of your very dear Mother who was so very proud of you.
Dear Donald, Evan, Blair, Dawn and families.
Moe and I met on the Outdoor Rinks in the Gatineau Hills. Moe was a fierce competitor in every sport. Moe played for Wakefield and we played for the Danford Lake Spitfires Broomball Team. We were both competitive for our hometowns, and Moe always was a professional, fair-minded, athlete and made playing against her fun. Lois Peck, Sue Rogan, Heather Rogan and I (Irma) joined Wakefield broomball gals in several tournaments in Hull and Ottawa. No matter what, we had a great time on and off the ice.
On the ball diamonds in the Gatineau Hills, Moe played a mean 3rd Base for Wakefield. It was almost impossible to get a grounder by her. Gloving the ball and firing it to 1st came naturally. Moe was a strong batter, but she also taught me something that I'll never forget. I was the catcher for the Danford Lake Outcasts, and as I picked myself up off the ground, after being run over by an incoming runner, Moe came over to me and gave me some valuable advice. "Never, ever block the home plate, Irma!" And as I wiped the dirt off my ball suit, I replied, "Great advice Moe!" and I never did it again.
As our children played Outdoor hockey, Moe and I would scrape the ice between periods, cheer our kids on, and chat later in the Rink Shack. Those were fun times!
Moe, you've shared a lot of sports memories with all of us. I'll always treasure them.
Until we meet again on the Rink or Ball Field in Heaven....
Our love,
Irma and Roy Peck

Dear Evan, Blair and Dawn,
We were saddened to hear that your mother passed away. She was a wonderful neighbour to have when you lived in Wakefield. Fun, practical and extremely generous, always ready to lend a hand to everybody. She had a big heart and she will be missed.
We have fond memories of her.
