Nécrologie de Cecile Marie Hughes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Cecile Marie Hughes (née Baron), who passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 85.

She is now reunited with her parents, the late Philias Baron and the late Florence Jolicoeur, as well as her beloved husband, the late James Hughes.

She leaves behind her loving children: Charlie (Chantal), Shirley, Sydney (Denise), Steve, Connie (Valaire), and Joey; her cherished grandchildren: Karl (Florence), Marc (Jessica), Maxime, Andrée (Cédrick), Florence (Troy), Marco, Julien (Sabrina), Corey, Samantha (Bobby), Mark (Kim), Valaire (Melyssa), and Anna (Reilly); her twenty-five great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Yvette, Marie, Rita, Diane, Aline, Ginette, Bernard, Roland, and Lucienne.

She was predeceased by her brothers Claude, Gerard, Rene, Roger, Paul, Hilaire, Alexander, and Rolande.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at St. Gregory's Cemetery, 6215 Duval Road, Vankleek Hill.
