Nécrologie de Pat Gandhi

It is with deep sadness we announce that Pat Gandhi (née Moore) passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Paul; her children, Seriosha (Roula), Kumari ~ Kiran, and Annette; her cherished grandchildren, Rocky, Gino, Leona, Marley, Zhane, Alexander, and Atlantis; her great-grandchildren; and her brother, Hartley.

Born and raised in Barbados, Pat emigrated to the United Kingdom at the age of 18 where she pursued and completed her nursing training. With remarkable strength and determination, she balanced a demanding career as a nurse for 25 years while raising three children—an accomplishment that spoke to her resilience, dedication, and deep love for her family.

In 1981, she and Paul made the decision to build a new life in Toronto, where together they ran their convenience store for many years, becoming a familiar and friendly presence in their community. In retirement, Pat and Paul lived in Elliott Lake for several years before settling in Hawkesbury to be closer to family. With each move, Pat lovingly set up her garden, creating a true sense of home wherever she was.

Pat will be remembered for her unwavering love for her husband, her steadfast support of her children’s dreams, her wonderful sense of humour, and her playful spirit—she was known to be quite the prankster. Her strong sense of etiquette and grace left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nursing staff at Place Mont Roc Retirement Home and the nurses and staff at the Hawkesbury General Hospital for their exceptional care and support.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Anglican Church, 5845 ON-34, Vankleek Hill, ON K0B 1R0.  A reception in the church hall will follow...
