Nécrologie de Michael Rowlands

The family of Michael Rowlands is saddened to announce his passing on March 15 2026. He will be remembered lovingly by his wife Pat, daughters Lisa (Daniel Martineau) and Fiona (Francis Courrier), granddaughters Elizabeth (Sean Zanfino) and Alison (Avery Jones), and great granddaughter Erica.

Mike was born in Llandudno, North Wales the son of Kenneth and Hilary Rowlands. After graduating from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, he worked in the dairy industry in the U.K. followed by a number of years in Kenya with the Department of Agriculture and later in Tanzania in the Department of Veterinary Services. Emigrating to Canada in 1966 he spent a winter in Edmonton employed in the Agricultural Engineering faculty at the University of Alberta before moving to Montreal where he held various positions with Kraft Foods.

After retiring Mike and Pat moved to Eastern Ontario and enjoyed many years of waterfront living on the Ottawa River.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the palliative care ward at the Hawkesbury General Hospital for the generous and compassionate care Mike received.

As Mike wished there will be no visitations or official service.
