Nécrologie de June Nixon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. June Nixon of Maxville, who left us in her sleep on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, at the age of 79.

June was a devoted and loving mother to Roydon (Audra), Garry (Jen), and William (Jane). She was the proud and cherished grandmother of Sarah (André), Courtney (Patrick), Joshua (Kylie), Morgan (Brendon), Sydney (Nathan), Sam (Maddison) and the deeply adored great-grandmother of Lorenzo, Nash, Quinn, Logan, William, Wyatt and Bennett. June will be lovingly remembered by her dear siblings Billie, Bobbie, and Ian.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Royce, her son Glen, her parents Albert and Erma Lasalle, and eleven brothers and sisters. Her memory will also be carried on by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives she touched with kindness and grace.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, ON, on Sunday, September 21st, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A sharing of memories will follow at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club at 12:30 p.m., with a reception to follow.

In honour of June’s generous spirit, donations to Maxville Manor would be greatly appreciated—a place that held a very special place in her heart.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in Vankleek Hill's McAlpine Forest in memory of June.
