I was shocked to hear of Bill’s passing and wish to send my deepest sympathy to Ingrid and the family at this time of great loss.
Bill became the manager of Tutira Farm in Arundel after Les Gibbons left, and he ran the farm beautifully. I will always be grateful to him for this. He was father to my children’s “ best friends” , and latterly has kept fields bordering Arundel in prime state. In one farmer’s words : “ He’s kept the best of crops and always one step ahead of the rest of us. “
I will remember Bill fondly.

Our condolences to Ingrid and family. Billy was my cousin. My father was Gerald Proudlock. My mom was Violet Proudlock. I remember lots of Saturday evenings spent at Grandma and Grandpa Proudlock's home in Arundel. enjoying her delicious chocolate cake! Billy would be smoking a pipe along with Grandpa. Visiting Aunt Pansy and Uncle Harold at their farm was a highlight. I remember meeting beautiful Ingrid on one summer evening. And seeing Billy smiling from ear to ear as my dad would tease Ingrid. Billy held Ingrid close. We will pray for you all especially at this difficult time. wish I could be there. hugs to all.

One Friday night a long time ago when Billy was about ten, he and I were in the school gym watching some kids jitterbugging. I asked him why he wasn’t dancing too. He said he’d rather stand there with me. I didn’t know if that meant he liked ME or just DIDN’T like dancing!
We go back a very long way.
