Nécrologie de Jean-Marc Roy

At home, with his children by his side, Jean-Marc Roy of Hawkesbury died peacefully on June 20, 2025 at the age of 82.

Jean-Marc is predeceased by his parents, Euclide Roy and Stella Dehaître, as well as his beloved wife of 46 years, Colleen Roy (née Martin). He was the proud and loving father of Michael, Lisa, and Tara (Jason Geigel), and the dearly loved grandfather "Papa" to Mikaela, Christopher, Victoria, Quinn, James, and Patrick. Jean-Marc was a proud and dedicated high school English teacher and taught for 31 years at the Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute (VCI). Following his retirement, he filled his hours engaging in his much-loved hobbies, socializing with close friends, and being a pillar of love and strength for his family.

A Christian Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 4th, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 372 Geneviève Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate a donation in memory of Jean-Marc to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest of Vankleek Hill in memory of Jean-Marc.
