June 2, 1932 – May 25, 2025

Peacefully at the Maxville Manor on Sunday, May 25, 2025, just days before her 93rd birthday, Betty Barbeau (née Zetchus) gently passed away with her family by her side.

Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Clayton “Clay” Barbeau. Loving and devoted mother of Wayne (Alana), Donna Coleman (the late Ken) and Scott (Karen). Cherished grandmother of Kelly (Dave) and Patrick (Haley), and proud great-grandmother of Abigail, Emily, Elora and Isla. Predeceased by her parents, her grandson Bryan, and her brother Bernard.

Betty was deeply devoted to her family and her faith. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She was a social butterfly and was happiest when in the company of others.  She found great joy in cooking and baking for family, friends and others in her community. She was actively involved in the Catholic Women's League wherever she lived. Betty's home was a place of warmth and comfort where everyone was always welcome.  She  had a gentle heart for animals and enjoyed nature. 

A Private Family Service will be held.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to everyone at the Maxville Manor for the exceptional and compassionate care Betty received.  In memory of Betty, donations may be made to the Maxville Manor Redevelopment & Foundation HERE

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in Betty’s honour in the McAlpine Forever Forest, Vankleek Hill.
